1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Prepit website, products, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, purchasing a product, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Who we are

3. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase products. When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Our products & what they are
Prepit provides emergency-preparedness assessments and personalized digital planning documents, including the personalized Family Emergency Planner and related guides. These are informational and organizational tools designed to help you plan.
5. Not professional or emergency advice
Prepit is not a substitute for professional advice or official emergency services. Our content is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical, legal, safety, or other professional advice. In an emergency, always contact your local emergency services (such as 911) and follow the guidance of official authorities. You are solely responsible for decisions you make based on the Service.
6. Purchases, pricing & payment
Prices are shown at checkout and may change at any time. Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment processor, Stripe; we do not store your full card details. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase information. All prices are in the currency shown at checkout unless stated otherwise.
7. Refunds
Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
8. License & acceptable use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service and your purchased documents for your own household's preparedness. You agree not to resell, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or misuse the Service, and not to use it for any unlawful purpose.
9. Intellectual property
All content, branding, and materials provided through the Service are owned by Prepit or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. The personalized plan generated for you is for your household's use only.
10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Prepit will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
